Ways to Give
The danceScape Endowment Fund is a permanent endowed fund stewarded by the Burlington Community Foundation.
Our goal is not simply to raise money for individual programs — but to build long-term capital that generates sustainable annual support for arts access, cultural continuity, and movement-based learning across generations.
Community initiatives connected to the Be Bold cultural initiative help grow awareness of the Fund while celebrating the courage, culture, and connections that bring people together.

How You Can Support
1. Donate Through Burlington Community Foundation
All donations are securely processed and receipted through the Burlington Community Foundation.
Visit the BCF Giving Hub and select: danceScape Endowment Fund
Tax receipts are issued directly by the Burlington Community Foundation.
2. Tribute Giving
Donations may be made to the danceScape Endowment Fund in honour of a person who has made a meaningful impact in your life.
A gift can celebrate a loved one, mentor, teacher, or community leader while helping build permanent support for arts, cultural expression, and movement-based learning in our region.
For tribute donations in 2026 of $2,500 or more, danceScape would be pleased to:
• Record a meaningful interview honouring the individual and their story
• Share the tribute through our community storytelling channels
• Offer one year of complimentary wellness programming for the honouree or their family, with a choice of:
— danceTONE Cardio
— danceFLOW Qigong / Tai Chi
These tribute stories help preserve personal legacies while strengthening the community legacy that the Endowment Fund is building.

3. Community Partnerships
We collaborate with local businesses, artists, and cultural organizations to align initiatives with the Fund’s mission.
Examples include:
• Cultural storytelling initiatives connected to the Be Bold project
• Partnerships with museums and community organizations
• Escarpment storytelling initiatives inspired by the photography work of Mark Zelinski
Through these collaborations, partners help strengthen community engagement while supporting the long-term growth of the Endowment Fund.

4. Recurring Micro-Giving
Beginning in 2026, $5 from select danceScape social practice events will be directed toward the Endowment Fund — allowing small, consistent contributions to grow into long-term impact.
Over time, these small contributions help build a permanent community resource.
5. Support the Fund Through Book Purchases
Niagara Escarpment: Land Between Waters
danceScape is honoured to collaborate with photographer and author Mark Zelinski in connection with his book Niagara Escarpment: Land Between Waters.
This beautifully produced hardcover explores the landscapes, wildlife, and cultural stories of the Niagara Escarpment — one of Ontario’s most remarkable natural regions.
Through this partnership, a portion of book sales made through danceScape will be directed to the danceScape Endowment Fund, helping support arts access, cultural storytelling, and community programs for future generations.
By purchasing the book through danceScape, you are not only supporting an important cultural project — you are also helping grow a permanent fund dedicated to community wellbeing.

Why an Endowment?
An endowment is designed to grow over time.
Donations are invested through the Burlington Community Foundation, and only a portion of the investment earnings are distributed annually. This preserves the principal so the Fund can support community initiatives for decades to come.
