The Tang Family – danceScape Endowment Fund exists to provide permanent support for youth, seniors, cancer survivors, and culturally diverse communities through arts and movement-based initiatives.

Every contribution strengthens a legacy designed to endure.

Why an Endowment?

An endowment is built to last.

Donations are invested through the Burlington Community Foundation.
Each year, a portion of earnings supports community initiatives, while the principal remains intact — ensuring long-term impact.

This is not a one-time fundraiser.
It is a permanent community commitment.

Our Story

The Fund was established in 2009 following the breast cancer diagnosis of Robert Tang’s mother, Judy Mun-Pin Tang.

After her passing in 2012, the family committed to building a legacy rooted in resilience, joy, and community.

Following the passing of Robert’s father in 2025 — a longtime wedding photographer and small business owner in downtown Hamilton — the Fund entered a new growth phase focused on long-term sustainability and structured capital growth.

Current Growth Phase

Current Endowed Capital: $25,500+
(Over 50% of our next milestone achieved)

2026–2028 Capital Target: $50,000

Long-Term Vision: $100,000+ in permanent endowed capital.

Every contribution strengthens a foundation that will support community initiatives for decades to come.

Current initiatives include:
