About Good Shepherd SAM Central
Good Shepherd Centres is a faith-based organization rooted in the spirit of hospitality, providing compassionate health, housing, and community services across Hamilton and the Greater Toronto Area.
SAM Central (Stimulation, Activation, and Motivation) is their popular Adult Day Program located at the Good Shepherd Bishop Tonnos Seniors Building in downtown Hamilton. It offers a safe, supportive, and engaging “day out” for older adults and adults living with disabilities or other challenges. Through social, recreational, and therapeutic activities, SAM helps participants stay active, connected, and motivated.

What is seated dance? Seated dance is a gentle, accessible form of movement done while sitting in a chair. It improves mobility, balance, mood, coordination, and social connection — perfect for seniors and anyone with mobility needs.

Giving Back – Honorarium Donated The full honorarium from this International Dance Day session was donated to the danceScape Endowment Fund at the Burlington Community Foundation.
This permanent fund will support accessible dance and movement programs for seniors, youth, and community members facing barriers — creating a lasting legacy in the Hamilton and Burlington region.
