Has this experienced changed your individual fashion style at all?
Yes! It has definitely altered my sense of style and opened me up to many more possibilities.
What is one of your most memorable and rewarding dance experiences to date?
After coming in second place for so many years, and sometimes missing the Champions
What was the transition like when making the decision to retire from the competitive dance scene?
It was a very sad day when we decided to retire officially in 1998. Tony and I just kept practicing because that is what we were accustomed to. I knew I would need something really big to replace it. That’s when we decided to open up a studio of our own. We have other things in the works, which we’re keeping under wraps for the time being.
Could you please tell me more about any of your upcoming dance events?
A group of us from Dance Times Square will be attending the New York Dance Festival on February 27th and 28th. If anyone would like to join us, please call the studio. Dance Times Square also has two showcases a year. Our Spring Showcase will be held on March 19th, spotlighting top professionals and students of all levels. It will be held in the Landmark Theatre in Port Washington, Long Island. As in every year it will prove to be a sold out event. Every routine a showstopper!
We also hold a party on the last Thursday of every month, which always includes special performances and is open to the general public.

Tony and I have also hosted a one-hour special for public television entitled, "Ballroom Dancing Basics." This one-hour special features us teaching simple steps, turns and dips which enable the general public and newcomers to learn six different dances by leaning six easy steps. It will be broadcast in March on your local PBS station. Check your local listings for dates and times!
